We will do everything practicable to ensure that the service provided by Bereavement Services are satisfactory and meet our service user requirements. Please tell us your comments/suggestions relating to the service

You said

1. The pressure of only a 30 minute service was a little stressful

2. Service User was upset that they were rushed to leave the chapel to enable staff to prepare for next service.

3. The side roads at Lodge Hill are in a bad state of repair.

We did

1. Cremation services at Sutton Coldfield Crematorium are being extended to 45 minutes as from November 2016. The length of service at Lodge Hill Crematorium is currently under review.

2. It is hoped that extending services to 45 minutes will resolve this issue.

3. Lodge Hill have recently undergone a programme of pothole repairs.

166 results were obtained from the consultation.  There were alot of positive comments in relation to the service and the overall level of satisfaction was 98% from those who responded to this question.  Any actions arising from this consultation have been put into an action tracker and will be progressed separately.

Overview

This is aimed at gathering service users views/comments relating to burial and cremation services provided by Birmingham City Council.  Collected information will help develop future service improvements within cemeteries and crematoria.  Results of the user satisfaction levels from 10 consultation exercises will contribute to the services performance indicators and will be widely published.
