St Thomas Peace Garden Improvements
Overview
Funding has been made available to carry out some improvements to St Thomas Peace Gardens. These will form the first phase of proposed improvements and future phases will be determined based on the consultation results and funding available.
A PARK PLAN Vision Sheet has been drawn up and we would like your comments on it.
The proposed Phase 1 works include Items 1-5 and 8 on the attached Plan: repairs to steps, and drains; installing trip rail to prevent unauthorised parking; CCTV coverage of site; LED bulbs to park lights; repainting of the artist-designed Peace Gardens metalwork; new specimen trees to improve views; and trialling regular Park User Meet Ups with a representative range of park users to facilitate enjoyment of this important City Centre public open space by all. These works will improve the general amenity of the park for residents, students, City Centre workers, and tourists; stop unauthorised parking; and improve energy efficiency of the park lights. Please see attached plans for more information.
