A45 cycle route - Bordesley Middleway to Small Heath Park: Traffic Regulation Order

Closed 29 Feb 2024

Opened 8 Feb 2024

Overview

In November 2021, we consulted on a scheme to make permanent the A45 pop-up cycle route which was installed in 2020 during the Covid 19 pandemic. The consultation on Be Heard in 2021 set out the proposals which follow a route along Bordesley Middleway, Small Heath Highway, Bolton Road, Byron Road, and Tennyson Road to Small Heath Park. This route links to the city centre via the Bradford Street cycle route.

Following feedback from the consultation in 2021 , and a petition from local residents in October 2022, amendments were made to the proposed scheme.

This consultation is about the Traffic Regulation Orders (the legal documents required to make changes to the status of the road) associated with the project which are further described below.
